È morto a 87 anni Ikutaro Kakehashi, il padre fondatore di Roland, l’azienda giapponese leader del panorama elettronico mondiale.
Kakehashi, ingegnere giapponese pioniere della musica digitale che fondò la storica Roland Corp, è stato l’inventore della storica drum machine TR 808, contribuendo allo sviluppo dello standard digitale MIDI.
La sua scomparsa, come era prevedibile, ha colpito l’intero mondo della musica trasversalmente, da Erol Alkan a BBC Radio, dai The Prodigy a Vince Staples.
Ci uniamo anche noi di Tsinoshi nel ricordo di un uomo insostituibile e visionario che ha segnato la strada per le generazioni a venire.
