In questi giorni SBTRKT aveva condiviso a sorpresa 2 nuove tracce inedite (QUI) che facevano presagire l’arrivo di un nuovo album: tre giorni fa, Aaron aveva pubblicato sul suo canale Youtube ‘Good Morning‘ (in collaborazione con The-Dream) mentre nella notte tra mercoledi e giovedi aveva pubblicato sul profilo Soundcloud ‘I Feel Your Plain‘ feat. D.R.A.M. & Mabel.

Ovviamente tutti ci apettavamo, a distanza di 2 anni da ‘Wonder Where We Land‘, l’atteso annuncio ufficiale del nuovo album. Ma Sbtrkt ha praticamente spiazzato tutti: invece di annunciarlo, Aaron l’ha letteralmente pubblicato a sorpresa sul proprio canale youtube!

Il titolo, come vi avevamo preannunciato, è ‘SAVE YOURSELF‘ ed è composto da 8 tracce che vede protagonisti, oltre a The-Dream, D.R.A.M. e Mabel (presenti nei sopracitati estratti), anche il feat. con compagno di avventure Sampha. Per l’occasione, come è solito fare SBTRKT, è stato allestito un nuovo sito dedicato al nuovo album (che potete recuperare QUI).

Nel doc di descrizione, dichiara:

“SAVE YOURSELF is the new project from me to you, my fans. While a complete piece with a beginning, end and visual concepts that have been worked on over many months, this is not an album. This record was written from last summer til last week and is about being able to share music with you more frequently than I have done in the past, and not long after its been created.”
